This simple apple scrap tea can be made easily with just a few scraps – this recipe uses 12 apple cores, but you can easily make this with three, you just won’t yield the same amount of tea. Check out the notes section of this recipe to learn how to make the perfect apple scrap tea every time!
Simple Apple Scrap Tea (Made with Apple Cores)
Equipment
- 1 Medium Sized Pot
- 1 Fine Mesh strainer
Ingredients
- 12 Apple cores
- 4 Cups of water
- 4 Dates
- 1 Cinnamon Stick Or 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 Vanilla Bean Or 2 Teaspons Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a pot, cover, bring to a boil.
- Reduce to a medium heat and allow to simmer covered for 30 minutes to an hour, or untill apples are soft enough to mush and cinnamon stick has double in size.
- Strain with a fine mesh strainer twice, then enjoy.
