Simple Apple Scrap Tea (Made with Apple Cores)

Stop throwing away your apple cores and make this simple, flavorful, cozy tea reminiscent to apple cider! It can be enjoyed hot or cold!

Equipment

  • 1 Medium Sized Pot
  • 1 Fine Mesh strainer

Ingredients
  

  • 12 Apple cores
  • 4 Cups of water
  • 4 Dates
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick Or 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Vanilla Bean Or 2 Teaspons Vanilla Extract

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a pot, cover, bring to a boil.
  • Reduce to a medium heat and allow to simmer covered for 30 minutes to an hour, or untill apples are soft enough to mush and cinnamon stick has double in size.
  • Strain with a fine mesh strainer twice, then enjoy.
