This Tomatillo Salsa or Salsa Verde, is a delicious green salsa that’s crisp, refreshing, and packs a little kick. Best of all, it can be made in just a few minutes and is so versatile!

- 5 Tomatillos
- 1/2 White or Yellow Onion
- 1 Small bunch of Cilantro
- Juice from 1 Lime
- 1-2 Jalapeños
- 1 Teaspoon of Salt
Peel the shell off your tomatillos and take out the little core. I like to rinse mine after taking off the husk.
Chop the stem off jalapeño, and take out some of the seeds, not all.
Peel onion, chop in half.
Put all ingredients into a food processor, pulse until we’ll combined. Pour into a bowl and enjoy!
NOTES:
1.) If you do not have a food processor, you can always chop everything up finely, thought it won’t be as fast.
2.) I used about half a bunch of cilantro, you can add more or less based on your liking.
3.) If you like this recipe spicer, you can always add more jalapeño, and/or your own spicy peppers.
4.) Be sure to remove the husk also known as lantern on your tomatillos. They are not edible and are said to be poisonous. I like to give mine a rinse after peeling off the husk and I suggest you do the same, especially if it gets sticky underneath.
